Following a recent redesign that brought a completely new look and clean design to the mobile app and an update to the desktop application which enabled sync for iPods and a variety of other perks for Premium subscribers, Spotify announced another minor update for the iPhone app this morning, finally bringing the much desired “queue”. To view your Spotify queue, tap the queue icon in your 'Now Playing' bar. You can edit and add songs to your queue at any time. Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories. Playlists are a great way to save collections of music, either for your own listening or to share. To create one: Tap Your Library. Tap CREATE.; Give your playlist a name. If you're looking to clear your up next queue, here's what you've got to do. Go to currently playing music. Tap the up next icon in the top right. Spotify keeps close track of your listening history, both for your convenience and to personalize the music it recommends to you.

But if you're trying to find that listening history, you might need to jump through a few hoops. But once you find it, you'll get a completely up-to-date list of everything you've listened to recently.

Here's how to find your Spotify listening history, using both your phone and computer.

How to see your Spotify listening history in the mobile app

There are two ways to find your listening history in the Spotify mobile app. Both are available in the iPhone app, while only one is available in the Android app.

Spotify is currently testing a feature in the iPhone app that lets you see your complete listening history — you can go back months at a time, if you'd like. You can also choose whether you'd like to see what songs you've listened to, or the playlists you've used.

Since it's only a test, this feature may be removed in the future. But for now, you can find it here:

1. /spotify-keeps-crashing-mac-2018.html. Make sure that your app is fully updated, and then open the Spotify app and tap 'Home' at the bottom of the screen.

2. Tap the icon in the top-right that looks like a clock. This will open up your Listening History page.

3. By default, you'll be shown all the playlists you've listened to recently. You can scroll down to see the last month or so of your playlist history.

4. To see your song-by-song listening history by tapping the icon in the top-right corner that looks like a peg — this will open a menu where you can select 'Songs and episodes.'

5. You can now see a full list of every song and podcast episode you've listened to for the past few months. Scroll down to see them all, and tap on any of them to play it.

You can also find a truncated version of your listening history through the 'Add Songs' section. You can do this on both an iPhone and Android device.

1. Start the Spotify app and tap 'Library' at the bottom of the screen.

2. Open one of your playlists. If you have no playlists, tap 'Create playlist' and then tap 'Create.'

3. Tap 'Add songs,' the small button below the name of the playlist.

4. On the 'Add songs' page, swipe to the left three times. You should land on the 'Recently played' list. This displays the last 100 or so tracks you've played on Spotify.

5. Tap the name of any song to play a preview, or tap the plus sign to add it to the playlist.

How to see your Spotify listening history on the desktop app

Checking your listening history on a Mac or PC is much simpler.

1. In the desktop app, just click the Queue icon in the bottom-right corner of the window. It looks like three stacked lines with an arrow in one corner.

2. Once you've opened your Queue, click 'History' near the top of the screen.

You'll now see the last 50 or so songs in your listening history. Just note that this history is cleared whenever you close the app, and only tracks the songs you've listened to on your desktop.

Let Autoplay pick what plays next

Autoplay takes the work out of choosing what to play next. Just play a song, then Autoplay finds similar songs and plays them afterward.

To see your Autoplay queue:

1. Tap the song that's playing at the bottom of your screen.
2. In the lower-right corner of your screen, tap Playing Next .
3. Scroll down to Autoplay.

To turn Autoplay on or off, tap the Autoplay button in the upper-right corner of your screen. If you turn off Autoplay on one of your devices, then Autoplay is turned off on any device that's signed in with your Apple ID.

Autoplay is available only if you subscribe to Apple Music.

Choose what you want to play next

1. Open the Apple Music app and play music.
2. Find a song, album, or playlist that you want to play next.
3. When you find something, touch and hold it, then choose when you want it to play:
   
   • To play your selection right after the song that’s playing, tap Play Next .
   • To move your selection to the bottom of your music queue, tap Play Last .

See and change what plays next

1. Tap the song that's playing at the bottom of your screen.
2. In the lower-right corner of your screen, tap Playing Next .
3. From here, you can see and edit your Playing Next and Autoplay queues.
   • Reorder music: Drag the three lines next to a song up or down.
   • Remove a song: Swipe left over a song, then tap Remove.

If you play music that's not in your queue, you'll see an option to clear your music queue. If you choose Clear, then the music in your queue is replaced with the music you've selected to play.

Share control of a music queue on Apple TV or HomePod

If you're at a friend's house or have guests over, you can all add music to the queue on an Apple TV or HomePod. Everyone that wants to add music needs a subscription to Apple Music and an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

1. Connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to the same Wi-Fi network as the Apple TV or HomePod.
2. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, open the Apple Music app.
3. Tap the player at the bottom of the screen.
4. Tap AirPlay .
5. Scroll and tap the card for HomePod or Apple TV. Then tap the card again to return to the Apple Music app and see the music queue for that device.
6. Find a song, album, or playlist that you want to play next, touch and hold it, then choose when you want it to play:
   • To play your selection right after the song that's playing, tap Play Next .
   • To move your selection to the bottom of the music queue, tap Play Last .

Transfer your music queue between iPhone and HomePod

Update your HomePod and iPhone to the latest version of iOS. Then you can transfer what you're listening to between the two devices automatically, or with just a tap.

• To transfer what's playing on your iPhone to HomePod, bring your iPhone within 3 feet of your HomePod. Then tap the message on your iPhone that says Play on HomePod.
• To automatically transfer what's playing back and forth between your iPhone and HomePod, just hold your iPhone close to the top of your HomePod.
